HOUSE OF DREAMS DAY CARE CENTER

will begin its first semester in September of 2007.  As one of our income-producing projects, our day care center will be run by an experienced administrative and educational staff and will be physically situated in the Quito Tenis sector of Quito.  Funds from this school will help support NIGHT LIGHT, our shelter program for the children of the street.

THE MAIN MEAL

is our food program in conjunction with Kids Against Hunger (www.kidsagainsthunger.org).  We will provide hot, nutritionally balanced meals planned by our volunteer nutritionist, Michelle Fried, who recently retired from the United Nations World Food Program.  We will feed children of all ages at our facility.

NIGHT LIGHT

is our proposed shelter program in which we will provide a secure, sheltered place for the children to sleep.  Quito is situated at over 9,000 feet in altitude and the night temperatures often dip into the upper forties (Fahrenheit), and experiences an eight-month rainy season.

LA PALABRA

our linguistic center, will open its doors in the winter of 2008 and will be a source of financial sustainability for our various projects.  It will provide Spanish classes and a complete cultural experience for our students.
